I can’t tell you how much I love hearing “Mommy can I do Pilates with you”, or “Can we do Yoga together”?
I hope the years she spent in the jogging stroller, while I was training for race after race, has instilled a desire to be active. We talk about how important being active is. It helps maintain a healthy body and mind, and enables participation in lot’s of outdoor activities/adventures.
Sky has really started see how Yoga in particular has helped with her flexibility in dance. When she has trouble with balance or flexibility related dance stuff she always asks if there is a Yoga video for that…and there usually is something that will help.

My goal was to keep running so I could do races with her, and that hasn’t worked out…my knee just won’t support it sadly. But, we have found mat time to be a pretty great replacement. The best part is sometimes we just lay there at the end of a practice and have the best/silliest conversations.
