Today I’m thankful for friends that turn into babysitters! It’s hard for me to believe that I used to babysit Grace when she was a baby and now she’s babysitting Sky for us! So crazy how fast time passes.

It was a happy accident that Friday Night babysitting turned into Grace spending the weekend with us…but it was perfect timing. We didn’t realize how nice it would be to have someone to do all the rides with Sky at the State Fair. It’s a hard no for me when it comes to fair rides, and while Mark can do them he prefers not to. Originally we planned on going just the 3 of us, but having Grace with us made it so much more fun for everyone, especially Sky!

Over the years Grace has been such a joy in our lives. When she was little we’d get our baby/toddle fix when she spent weekends with us. And, during our 3 year+ wait to adopt she was this little voice of support and comfort talking about how amazing the baby we adopted was going to be. It makes my heart happy that she’s such a good friend to Mark and I, and Sky. Plus, it’s always nice to have another trusted babysitting option!

We’ll be booking Grace for fair weekend every year! 🙂
